At Nexpher Images, we are committed to accuracy in all our editorial content. Despite our best efforts and rigorous verification processes, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we are committed to correcting them promptly, transparently, and completely.

This policy outlines our procedures for identifying, reporting, and correcting errors in our content.

What We Correct

We correct all factual errors, including but not limited to:

  • Incorrect names, titles, or affiliations of individuals
  • Wrong dates, times, or locations of events
  • Inaccurate captions or descriptions
  • Misidentified subjects or locations
  • Incorrect factual information in metadata
  • Misspellings that change meaning
  • Errors in context or background information

Types of Corrections

Minor Corrections

Minor errors that don't significantly affect the meaning or understanding of content:

  • Spelling errors that don't change meaning
  • Minor typographical errors
  • Formatting inconsistencies

Action: Corrected immediately without separate notification. Updated version replaces the original.

Significant Corrections

Errors that affect the accuracy or understanding of the content:

  • Incorrect names or identifications
  • Wrong dates or locations
  • Factual errors in captions
  • Misattributed quotes or information

Action: Content is corrected immediately. A correction notice is added to the content metadata. Clients who licensed the content are notified of the correction.

Critical Errors

Serious errors that fundamentally misrepresent events or subjects:

  • Misidentification of individuals in sensitive contexts
  • Incorrect attribution of actions or statements
  • Fundamental misrepresentation of events
  • Errors that could cause harm or legal issues

Action: Content may be withdrawn from distribution. A detailed correction notice is published. All clients and partners are notified immediately. A formal apology may be issued if appropriate.

How to Report an Error

We welcome corrections from our audience, clients, subjects, and contributors. If you believe you've found an error in our content, please report it to us:

Reporting Methods

Information to Include

When reporting an error, please provide:

  • The specific image or article containing the error
  • Image ID or URL if available
  • A clear description of the error
  • The correct information
  • Your contact information
  • Any supporting documentation or sources

Our Review Process

When an error is reported or identified:

Initial Assessment (Within 2 hours)

  • Error report is logged and assigned to an editor
  • Severity of the error is assessed
  • If critical, content is flagged or withdrawn immediately

Investigation (Within 24 hours)

  • Facts are verified through original sources
  • Photographer or contributor is consulted
  • Additional research is conducted as needed
  • Determination is made on whether a correction is necessary

Correction Implementation (Within 48 hours)

  • Corrected content is prepared and reviewed
  • Updates are applied to all distribution channels
  • Correction notices are published as appropriate
  • Clients and partners are notified

Follow-up

  • Person who reported the error is thanked and informed
  • Internal review to prevent similar errors
  • Additional training if systemic issues are identified

Correction notices are transparent about what was wrong and what has been corrected:

Content Withdrawal

In rare cases, content may need to be withdrawn completely:

Reasons for Withdrawal

  • Fundamental misrepresentation that cannot be corrected
  • Serious breach of editorial standards
  • Legal requirements or court orders
  • Privacy concerns that cannot be resolved otherwise
  • Discovery of image manipulation or fabrication

Withdrawal Process

  • Content is removed from all distribution channels
  • All clients and partners are notified immediately
  • Explanation is provided for the withdrawal
  • Refunds or credits may be offered to clients
  • Public statement issued for high-profile withdrawals
